The Orange Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (ODCCW) is a coordinating unit for action for all women of the Orange Diocese, affiliated with the National Council of Catholic Women, and approved by the local Bishop. All woman in the Diocese are automatically members and parishes have councils, which come together monthly at different parishes throughout the Diocese.
This group seeks to gather, educate and promote an awareness of the needs and works of Catholic women, through Commissions, which encourage involvement in women's issues. By communicating with diocesan women through its monthly publication, "Fragments," the Council aims to identify emerging needs and directions of women in parishes and the Diocese.
ODCCW MISSION STATEMENT
To promote among its members, Greater devotion to Christ, His Church and to share with Mary her role in bringing others to Christ. This organization seeks to stimulate spiritual and intellectual development, build community among women, and provide the opportunity for apostolic endeavors by assisting the Bishop with his goals and programs for the Diocese.
